Communications team! We are conscious of the image of our Chapter so we get creative fighting to position PMILN the way we believe the Chapter should be perceived. Someone said we are too playful but we say we are fun loving. Creativity is fun and fun brings out the best in us. We once asked a member what he thought our roles are in the Chapter. Guess what he said? "You design/maintain/update the Chapter website, prepare and manage the newsletter and respond to all enquiries regarding the Chapter!" As true as it sounds, the guy is wrong! Ok fine, what then do we do? To make it easy to remember, we say what we do bothers about:

• who (you and the Chapter) says
  
• what to
  
• whom (you, the Chapter, our Country and the world at large) in
  
• what channel with
  
• what effect

We don't do more, we don't do less! One major common denominator with us all in the Communications Department is that we enjoy what we do and we do what we enjoy. Alright, alright lets describe ourselves using some fanciful BIG words! Here we go - Technology Enthusiasts; Some of us belong to this class of volunteers who are always ahead of the pack as far as communication technology is concerned. These are the facebook fans, the graphic artists, the web developers, the forum masters, the bloggers etc. And yet another - Marketing Communication Experts; These ones know what to say, how to say what and when to say what to get an eskimo to paying for ice cubes! A Project Management Veteran once said most married men use this skill at least once in their life time. We cannot seem to agree more!! The copywriters (web and print), communication strategists, cartoonists, client service experts etc belong to this other group. You see, we have an interesting mix!
