The Project Management Institute, Lagos, Nigeria Chapter, is a Chapter chartered by the Project Management Institute Inc (PMI®) and separately incorporated as a non-profit, tax exempt corporation organized under the laws of Nigeria.  Founded in 2003, we achieved charter status in 2005 and presently our membership has grown to over 500 members from across many industries in Nigeria.

Our local communities of successful project managers are seen as precise and creative, organized and passionate by key actors of both the private and public sectors of the Nigerian economy. This year marked our 5-year milestone and we received recognition from PMI Global Operation Centre for reaching this milestone.

We serve practitioners and organizations with standards that describe good practices, globally recognized credentials that certify project management expertise, and resources for professional development, networking and community.

Our aim as a body is to support the goals and objectives of the Project Management Institute (PMI) within Lagos and Nigeria. Thus, we work closely with other chapters to ensure the advancement of project management practice, governance and advocacy in Nigeria. Like our parent body, we equally apply a sense of discipline with urgency as we consistently and strategically create the confidence that project management is indispensable for business results.
